Air Spring for heavy goods vehicle

The air spring is for a motor vehicle that increases the safety of the vehicle. It is of the type composed of air bellows, (1,2) which are used as the link between the axles of the motor vehicle and the chassis. The bellows are supplied from an air drum (5) via load sensitive level regulating valves coupled with discharge valves. - The air springs are fitted with an angle measuring device (11) coupled to the discharge valves. The air bellows are vented from the higher of the valves when the angle of inclination of the chassis w.r.t. the horizontal reaches a given value. There is a time switch between the angle measuring device and the ventilating valves. The time switch operates in conjunction with a transistor oscillator. (1)
