PURPOSE:To completely protect the couplers of a steel tubular sheet pile from corrosion by a method in which a corrosion proofing bag is inserted into the space surrounded by couplers connecting each steel tubular sheet pile, molds projecting from each steel tubular sheet pipe toward the front of the couplers, and the peripheries of each steel tubular sheet pile, and a filler is packed into the bag. CONSTITUTION:Steel tubular sheet piles 1 are connected with couplers 2, and a space is formed by a mold frame 6 provided with a given spacing on the front the couplers 2 from each steeltubular sheet pile 1, the couplers 2, and the periph- eries of each steel tubular sheet pile 1. Then, a petrolatum-impregnated bag 4 is inserted into the space, a filler 5 is packed into the bag 4, and the bag 4 is pressingly contacted with the couplers 2. Thus, the couplers 2 between the steel tubular sheet piles 1 can be protected from corrosion. |
