PURPOSE:To cool the entire part of objects to be treated quickly and uniformly by dipping said objects which are heated to high temp. in a quenching medium and oscillating the objects vertically and laterally repeatedly. CONSTITUTION:A basket 4 is put on the objects 3 to be treated of high temp. which are placed on a tray 2. In this state, the tray is inverted 180 deg. to replace the objects 3 into the basket 4. This basket 4 is brought downward and is dipped in an oil tank 21. In succession, the above-mentioned mechanism for 180 deg. inversion is operated to oscillate the objects 3 repeatedly laterally at small amplitude. Also, the above-mentioned mechanism for vertical movement of the basket is operated to move the objects 3 repeatedly vertically at small strokes. After a prescribed time, the basket 4 is moved upward to be mated with the tray 2, then the mechanism is inverted to return the objects 3 into the original tray 2. Thus the entire part of the objects to be treated is hardened uniformly. |
