<p>A carrier package arrangement adapted for marketing bottled beverages or similar articles formed by securing on the top portions of a plurality of bottles arranged in a double row a carrier device which is formed by folding a cut and scored blank of paperboard, or similar material, into a tube with a generally rectangular cross section and securing the device on the tops of the bottles so as to engage the neck of each bottle in a position defining aperture in a base forming bottom panel of the device with downwardly directed flange formations on the cap on the top of each bottle engaging upwardly facing edge formations defining openings at the top fold line of upwardly converging wall forming panels which are arranged in paired relation and extend along opposite sides of the tube, with a top panel of the device extending between bottom edges of the innermost wall forming panels and having portions thereof secured to the base forming bottom panel which are scored, so as to fold downwardly in accordian fashion. In another form of the carrier, the top wall panel is scored so that portions fold upwardly in accordian fashion when the carrier is applied to the bottles.</p> |
