The arrangement is intended for controlling access to a feeding trough (7) e.g. for chickens. It comprises an inflatable hose (12) arranged parallel to and above the trough such that, in the inflated condition, it prevents access thereto and, when deflated, it hangs down slack and forms a central partition between the opposite sides of the trough. The hose may be inflated by an air pump (15) which can be reversed to deflate the hose by vacuum. The hose may be vertically adjustable (10,13).
