PURPOSE:To increase pictures in sharpness by photographing a photographic surface while allowing a beam obtained by removing part of the color light of a beam from a light source to make incident to the photographic surface of a jewel, and thus inhibiting the incidence of a beam which may cause halation during photographing. CONSTITUTION:While a light source 1 is turned on, a picture of the table surface 11 of diamond 9 on a supporting base 5 is taken. At this time, a beam from the light source 1 is condensed through a condenser lens 3 and reflected by the reverse circumferential surface of a pinhole 13 in the center of a light shielding plate 12 to illuminate the table surface 11 of the diamond 9. The beam incident to the diamond 9 has part of color light absorbed by the light shielding plate 12, so when a picture of the table surface 11 is taken by a camera 16 through the pinhole 13, the beam which may cause halation such as surface reflected light from the diamond 9 and transmitted light from a pavilion 10 is prevented from making incident to the diamond 9, obtaining a picture with high shapness. |
