PURPOSE:To obtain thermally stable crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite of high purity suitable for use as a catalyst in the transformation reaction of an aromatic hydrocarbon by providing a specified composition and a specified crystal structure. CONSTITUTION:This crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite has a composition represented by the formula (where M is an n-valent cation; x is 0.5-4; and y is >=10) and peculiar X-ray interplanar spacing (e.g., intense peaks are shown at 4.33+ or -0.1Angstrom and 4.02+ or -0.05Angstrom ) expressed by the figure. Said zeolite is manufactured by reacting a silica source (i) such as colloidal silica, an alumina source (ii) such as sodium aluminate, a water soluble alkali metallic compound (iii) such as sodium hydroxide, N,N,N,N',N',N',-hexamethyl-1,6-hexanediammonium compound (iv) and water (v) in an autoclave at >= about 80 deg.C for about 5hr- 100 days. |
