PURPOSE:To avoid an abnormal local increase in temperature in a permanent magnet by a method wherein a connection in a superconducting permanent magnet is provided with a means for generating the constant conductive section of a heater or a winding for applying magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:One superconducting wire 5 and the other superconducting wire 6 are buried in a connection sheath 9 together with a heater 8 applied insulation coating 7. The heater 8 destructs the superconductive state of the superconducting wires 5, 6 at the time of quenching a superconducting permanent magnet and serves a role expanding a normal conductive part. Thus, the effective expansion of the constant conductive part is contrived by providing the heater 8 between the superconducting wires 5, 6. This can promptly propagate the constant conductive part to the whole part of the permanent magnet even for a connection having comparatively good cooling. Therefore, an abnormal local increase in temperature in the permanent magnet can be avoided. |
