<p>1535949 Stable polymeric dispersions CHEMISCHE FABRIK STOCKHAUSEN & CIE 5 May 1976 [6 May 1975] 18481/76 Addition to 1462905 Heading C3V [Also in Divisions C1 and D2] Dispersions of water in a water-immiscible liquid, said dispersions containing an emulsifier and at least 10 wt. per cent of a polymeric Mannich base, are stabilized by the presence of at least one of (a) a water-soluble salt of a mono- or poly-functional amine, optionally in admixture with ammonia or with a mono- or poly-functional amine, (b) a mixture of ammonia with an ammonium salt of a mineral acid, or (c) a carboxylic acid amide. In examples, the Mannich base is one obtained by aminoalkylation of polyacrylamide with formaldehyde and either dimethylamine or dipropylene triamine; the water-immiscible liquid is a mixed hydrocarbon fraction; and the stabilizer is acetamide, NH 3 / NH 4 Cl, NH 3 /dimethylamine hydrochloride, dimethylamine / dimethylamine hydrochloride, diethylamine / dimethylamine hydrochloride or dipropylene triamine/dimethylamine hydrochloride.</p> |
