The trailer couplings of lorry trailers are standardised throughout the world and are composed, on the trailer side, of a trailer coupling ring which is attached to the tip of a forked tow bar. The standardisation meant that trailers of this kind could be easily hitched onto the power units of third parties and stolen. In order to prevent this, the invention proposes an anti-theft protection composed of a block with a lockable device which is to be inserted into the trailer coupling ring and locked there by means of a key. <IMAGE>
