In a nuclear reactor installation having a containment (1) and a secondary shield (9) including the latter, which together with the containment delimits an annular space (24), a main steam or feedwater line (2) is led through this annular space. Said line is supported on the secondary shield and inside the containment. The line (2) is partially surrounded by a double pipe (7). In order to relieve the double pipe and to guarantee the exclusion of damage to the line (2), it is provided that the line is constructed in one piece bridging the annular space (24) and is directly retained by the support structures (3, 4). The double pipe terminates in this arrangement in front of the support structures in each case. It is open on its side pointing towards the containment and has a closed construction only after the side directed towards the secondary shield. <IMAGE>
