Apparatus for the hypothermic treatment of tumours in small animals

In an apparatus for the hypothermic treatment of experimental animals by means of ultrasound, the cover plate of a therapy table is provided with apertures corresponding to the envisaged number of work stations, and the animals to be treated are positioned thereon. The apertures are provided with ultrasound transducers. At the edge of the therapy table, retaining devices are fitted for thermoelectric detectors. The thermoelectric detectors are connected to a control system which ensures that the temperature of the therapy area is kept constant at a target value.
