PURPOSE:To reduce the entire weight of an underwater travelling body and to utilize the inner space effectively, by providing a heat exchanger at the removed section of an outer shell while forming flow-in and flow-out ports for the cooling water at the front and rear ends of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A removed section 1a is provided in an outer shell 1 of an underwater travelling body while an inwardly inclined face 16 is formed at the edge. A heat exchanger 2 is provided at the removed section 1a while flow-in port 2a and flow-out port 2b for the cooling water are formed at the front and rear ends while facing with the inclined face 1b. Consequently the weight is reduced by the amount of the locally removed outer shell 1, thus to provide the wide space. Since the flow-in and flow-out ports for the heat exchanger are formed in the inclined face, the piping for taking in the outer water and the discharge piping are not required, while since the transmission of the vibration along the outer shell 1 is blocked at the heat exchanger 2, the operational reliablity of a sound device at the head of the underwater travelling body is improved. |
