PURPOSE:To make it possible to operate a booster when either of the pedals of main and auxiliary brakes are actuated and as well to simplify the structure of the brake system, by connecting the auxiliary brake pedal to the main brake pedal which is coupled to a master cylinder provided with the booster, through a wire. CONSTITUTION:A main brake pedal 1 is coupled to a master cylinder 5 provided with a booster 6, through a rod 7. Meanwhile, an auxiliary brake pedal 8 is connected to a rod 14 planted to one end of a bellcrank 13, through a rod 11 and a univesal joint 12. The bellcrank 13 is adapted to rotate left and right about a pin 15 as a pivot point, and has the other end onto which a rod 16 is planted. A wire 17 is connected to this rod 16. A tension adjuster 18 is interposed to this wire 17, and a coupling member 19 is fixed to one end of the wire 17. A rod 21 is movably pierced through the coupling member 19 but is prevented from being pulled out therefrom by means of a stopper 22. The rod 21 is connected to the main brake pedal 1 through a clevis 23. |
