By means of the vehicle according to the invention, which is propelled with muscle power, it becomes possible, as a consequence of the electronics designed for this purpose, to determine the performance delivered by the driver. For a predetermined travelling distance, the work expended or the time or the quantity of heat consumed for this distance can be displayed. Similarly, it is possible to carry out various training programmes, the effect of the training becoming apparent after repeated exercise. Sensible training programmes are impossible without the performance measurement in the vehicle, according to the invention, since external influences such as changeable wind conditions produce a different expenditure of work for the same distance. Therefore it is only by reference to the performance measurement that it is possible to ascertain whether there is a detectable training success after repeated exercise.
