The invention relates to an arrangement by means of which articles, such as drinks bottles, packaging units or the like, which are designated by a monitoring device by means of a signal, are separated out in that they are transferred from one transport path to a second conveying track. To make it possible for the articles to be pushed off reliably and gently using a device of simple design, a prismatic ejector in the form of a regular polygon which can be rotated on a shaft about its vertical axis of symmetry is arranged next to that side of the transport path remote from the conveying track in such a way that, in its basic position, one of its side faces bridges a gap in the lateral guide of said transport path. Connected to the shaft of the ejector is a driving device which, in response to a signal of the monitoring device, rotates the ejector through its pitch angle and thus pushes the article off the transport path onto the conveying track by that part of the side face which has been guided across the lateral guide. <IMAGE>
