The invention relates to a method of marking selected numbers within pre-printed number fields on sets of betting slips, and also to a device for carrying out this method. The object of the invention is to simplify this method and the device. This object is achieved, according to the invention, in that a film is provided with embossed marking of the selected numbers, a carbon paper sheet is laid thereon, specifically on the raised side of the markings, with the ink side upwards, and on this is laid a set of betting slips with the number fields facing the sheet of carbon paper and aligned on the markings of the film, the printing of the markings on the set of betting slips being achieved by rubbing over the back of the set of betting slips, once or more than once, with the rigid edge of an auxiliary tool.
