The method for cutting optical fibers is efficient in connecting fibers. It is difficult to get a perpendicular cutting section to the fiber direction because a fiber has very small dia. and the coating is soft. To connect the fiber group(9) with the group(10) efficiently, 2 groups(9,10) are arranged in the same direction and cut by the same cutter simultaneously to get the same cutting angle. Even if the cutting fiber groups(9,10). The group(10) is restored to the original position which is opposite to the group(9). The cutting sections of the groups(9,10) are same.
