A cutting or trimming apparatus, which is used in shape- and fill-packaging during the stamping-out of packaging curves or similar process steps, is provided with a tool which has an opening of predetermined shape and an extension and is arranged in a position inclined at a predetermined angle, with a mandrel which is movable relative to the tool into a position which is inclined at an angle corresponding to the inclined position of the tool, the mandrel co-operating with the tool to stamp out a curved piece, with a curve-removing mechanism which is movable into the tool opening to take out the curved piece stamped out by the tool and the mandrel, and with a cutter which is movable relative to the tool and co-operates therewith to cut off a foil strip from which the curved piece is stamped out.
