The hand-operated press has a box for accommodating material for pressing which is arranged on a base plate and can be swivelled about 180. Placed onto the material for pressing is a flat press insert provided with holes which is matched to the cross-section of the box and is pressed by means of a press lever into the basic form. The base plate is provided with holes in the region of the non-swivelled box. According to the pressing operation, for the automatic ejection of the pressed and formed material the box is swivelled against an ejection clip arranged on the extension of the base plate.
