<p>A temperature control unit for the fail-safe control of freezers has a first thermostatic switch (1) controlled by a first temperature responsive element which is adjustable to cause the switch to cut in and out at predetermined operation temperatures, in normal operation of a freezer. A second thermostatic switch (2) controlled by a second temperature responsive element is arranged to cut in at a preset limit temperature outside the range of operation temperatures of the first switch, higher than the operating range of the thermostatic control in the case of a freezer, this second switch being associated with an indicator (B) which provides a warning indication when the normal cycling of the first switch has been interrupted, the second switch being resettable manually. <IMAGE></p> |
