The invention relates to a process and apparatus for the flame-spraying of refractory materials. The apparatus for the flame-spraying of a mixture of refractory and readily combustible metal particles contains a material store (2) which maintains the mixture in a state of complete or partial fluidisation. Devices (3, 4, 5) are also provided for taking along the mixture in a stream of a relatively inert gas, for example air. The mixture taken along is fed to a lance (14) where it is mixed with a sufficient quantity of oxygen for combustion. The apparatus is safe and simple, and leads to considerable advantages in the control of flame-spraying processes over the state of the art. <IMAGE> |
