PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic recording device which is cheaper and smaller in size than an electrostatic recording device using a laser and a light emitting diode array, by driving a fluorescent tube having an array of fine light emitting segments, and forming an electrostatic image on a surface of a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:The fluorescent tube 1 has an longitudinal array of segments 18 in a vaccum container consisting of a glass substrate 16 and face glass 17, and driving ICs 2 are arrayed longitudinally outside of the vaccum container on the glass substrate 16 at both sides. Since the driving ICs 2 are provided in one body on the same substrate with the light emitting segments 18, so maintenance and assembly are facilitated to reduce the size of a recording head. Further, even-numbered and odd-numbered lead lines from the segments are extended to the opposite sides of the segment array and they are controlled as different groups independently, so driving circuits for the segment groups are symmetrical about the segment array, facilitating the control. |
