RESIN COMPOSIION AND ITS PREPARATION

PURPOSE:To prepare a composition giving a colored shipping container free from die weldline, by compounding a high-density polyethylene with a pigment and a polar-group-containing polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:A high-density polyethylene is compounded with a pigment and a polyolefin having polar group. The amount of the polar group in the polyolefin is selected to be >=4.5X10<-7>g per 100g of the composition. The compounding is preferably carried out by mixing the above three components with each other to make a master batch having high pigment concentration, and adding the master batch to the residual high-density polyethylene. The polyolefin having polr group is a copolymer of a polar group-containing vinyl monomer and an olefin, preferably ethylene. The polar goup is preferably carboxyl group.
