1,096,391. Electron guns. KENTUCKY ELECTRONICS, Inc. June 28, 1965 [July 27, 1964], No. 27290/65. Heading H1D. In a plural beam electron gun structure, e.g. for a colour television tube, the electrodes 14, 15, 16, 17 of the separate gun systems are held within apertures in transverse conductive discs 11, 31, 41 and a transverse insulating disc, the discs being common to all the gun systems. The discs may be fixed to longitudinal glass rods 10 by a series of indented tongues arranged around their peripheries. In an alternative embodiment the discs are replaced by ceramic cylinders which are spaced from each other by metallic rings brazed to them. The rings are seated in mating indentations in the ceramic cylinders. As shown, the insulating, ceramic, disc 21 has registered indentations on opposite sides to receive the electrodes 14 and 15.
|
