PURPOSE:To obtain a polymer having good moldability during casting polymerization, improved dyeability and adhesiveness, by copolymerizing diethylene glycol bisallyl carbonate with a radically copolymerizable monomer containing alcoholic hydroxyl group. CONSTITUTION:Preferably 0.3-10pts.wt. radically polymerizable monomer (an alcoholic hydroxyl group-contaning allyl compound such as preferably diallyl tartrate, etc.) containing an alcoholic hydroxyl group is added to 100pts.wt. diethylene glycol bisallyl carbonate. The desired polymer is obtained by setting temperature conditions where the polymerization is started at relatively low temperature, the temperature is raised gradually, and it is elevated at the end of the polymerization, and by finishing the polymerization in 15-25hr. USE:A raw material for lenses of plastic glasses. |
