RC-1434-M BIMETALLIC SOAPS AND PROCESSES THEREFOR Uniformly coformed soaps of calcium and zinc at zinc/ calcium atomic ratios of about 2/3 to about 3/1 are provided having unexpectedly low melting points and outstanding lubricant and antistick properties. Suitable methods of preparing same are disclosed based upon the simultaneous reaction of both calcium and zinc supplied in intimate association in correct proportions in a source material which is intensively dispersed in a liquid mass containing available fatty acid groups and maintained at a suitable reaction temperature so as to form a finely divided pulverulent bimetallic soap of the uniform composition desired.
