发明名称 SOLID ELECTROLYTE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease internal resistance and increase discharge performance by forming a cathode on one side of a solid electrolyte, and an anode comprising lithium or lithium alloy through a thin layer of metal halide on the other side of the solid electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A thin layer 3 comprising metal halide decreases interface resistance between an electrolyte 1 and an anode 4, and that results in good discharge performance. The metal halide is typically LiX (X is halogen) and metal halide other than lithium such as Pb, Sn, or Al is also included. The metal halide other tan LiX reacts with Li immediately after assembling a battery to form LiX. This functions as Li ion conductor, and a metal by-product such as Pb, Sn, or Al alloys lithium to function as an Li ion conductor. Therefore, the metal halide fills gaps between the anode 4 and the solid electrolyte 1 without giving an adverse effect on discharge reaction of Li<+> ion, and interface resistance is decreased.
