PURPOSE:To ensure stable running of an ink ribbon cartridge without causing the separation of the ink ribbon from a press contact portion by providing a running groove to regulate the running between a ribbon housing section and the press contact portion. CONSTITUTION:A running groove 17b is formed in part of the nearby area of a press contact portion 16 or in the whole area between the ribbon housing section 15 of a cartridge case 17 and the press contact portion 16, whereby the zig-zag running in the thickwise direction 11b of the ink ribbon 11 is suppressed. A bent portion 18a to forcibly interfere in the widthwise direction 11a of the ink ribbon 11 is formed in a plate spring 18 for braking the ink ribbon 11, whereby the zig-zag running in the widthwise direction 11a is supressed. Also, a projection 17e is formed at the press contact face 17a of the cartridge case 17 of the ink ribbon is formed to keep the ink ribbon 11 from running out of the press contact portion 16 even when it runs in a zig-zag manner in the widthwise direction 11a. |
