PURPOSE:To efficiently recover the cold and hot status of natural liquefied gas by installing a heat accumulating means onto a heat exchanger, in a power generation apparatus in which secondary medium is liquefied through heat-exchange with liquefied natural gas and an expansion turbine is driven by evaporating said liquefied secondary medium. CONSTITUTION:Liquefied natural gas is sent into a heat exchanger 3 from a tank 1 by a pump 2, and heat-exchanged with the secondary medium such as propane etc., and liquefies said medium while the gas itself is evaporated and sent into a heating device 4. At this time, the heat exchanger 3 is constituted with a heat accumulating body built-in so that the cold and hot status of the liquefied natural gas is maintained in said heat accumulating body even in the case when power generation is not performed. Then, the liquefied secondary medium is pressurized by a pump 5, evaporated in a secondary-medium evaporator 6, expanded in an expansion turbine 7, and then returned into the heat exchanger 3, thus said secondary medium is allowed to circulate in the system. A power generator G is driven by the motive power generated in the turbine 7. Therefore, the cold and hot status of the liquefied natural gas can be efficiently recovered by the heat accumulating body, and the energy recovery amount can be increased. |
