The invention refers to a procedure for establishing the intensity of existing mercury migration out from a dental amalgam filling (1). According to the invention, the procedure enables safe indication of mercury migration from a dental amalgam filling (1). The procedure is executed in such a manner that one produces a short circuit of the amalgam filling (1) over a measuring device, possibly a measuring instrument, and that one measures the effects of the discharge of the current impulse produced, which comes entirely from migrated mercury from the said filling (1), and which is directly proportional to the amount of migrated mercury. The invention also refers to a device for carrying out the said process.<IMAGE> |
