PURPOSE:To set intervals of a main scanning line of an optical system arbitrarily and to simplify both side and one side recording, by changing original scanning intervals between plural reading means reading an original picture. CONSTITUTION:In inserting a sheet original OS to carrying rollers 2, 3, the original is detected at a photocoupler consisting of a light emitting element 12 and a photodetector 13, and the rotation of carrying rollers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 is started. First, a lower surface of the original OS is read by a reading unit 20 at a lower surface reading position A of a lower surface reading platen 8, and then the upper surface of the original OS is read by a reading unit 22 at an upper reading position B of an upper reading platen 9. In both side reacording of the sheet original, recording paper is carried from a cassette 51 in synchronizing with the movement of the original OS, and the upper and lower surfaces of the original OS are recorded with recording heads 84 and 85 respectively. |
