PURPOSE:To both ensure stable idling operation and suppress the change of air- fuel ratio, by communicating fuel passages in upstream and downstream sides of a metering jet through a bypass passage, further providing a jet to a fuel flow inlet of the bypass passage to bleed air in the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:The captioned carburetor is operated such that a suction piston 3 changes area of a Venturi part 8 in an intake passage 2 in accordance with an intake air quantity while a needle 4 connected to said piston 3 intrudes into a fuel passage 20 to work cooperatively with a metering jet 21. Then the passage 20 in the upstream of the jet 21 is communicated to a float chamber 7 through a fuel pipe 22. Here the passages 20 in the upstream and downstream of the jet 21 are communicated through a bypass passage 24, and a fuel metering jet 25 is inserted to the bottom end part of an inflow passage part 24b of the passage 24 while a connection part of the inflow passage part 24b and intermediate part 24a of the passage 24 is communicated in the passage 2 in the upstream of said piston 3 through an air bleed passage 27 and air bleed jet 28. |
