Antibiotic mycoplanecin was prepd. by cultivating mycoplanecin-producing bacteria of Actinoplanes 41042(NRRL-11462) (I). Thus, bacteria I were cultivated in seed culture ground of glucose 1, glycerine 1, sucrose 1, soybean powder 2, casamino acid 0.5, yeast 1, CaCO3 0.1% and water at 28≦̸C for 96 hr. and then which were cultivated in a mixt. of glycerine 0.5, sucrose 2, soybean powder 1, yeast 1, C.S.L. 0.5, COCl26H2O 0.001% and water 15 28≦̸C for 96 hr.
