PURPOSE:To reproduce and transmit a still picture with a short queuing time and a high picture quality, by transmitting a reproduced output to another terminal on a basis of a video signal written in a memory during the write operation to a memory of one reproducing and outputting system. CONSTITUTION:Plural reproducing and outputting systems 1-3 having the same constitution are connected to a disc 1 of a recording medium so that information of the video signal reproduced from the disc 1 can be transferred to them. Plural terminals 1-3 having monitor screens or the like are connected to reproducing and outputting systems 1-3. Still pictures are displayed on monitor screens or the like of terminals 1 and 2 on a basis of one-field components of video signal, at least, from the time when the first one-field components of video signal are written in memories of output systems of terminals 1 and 2 of reproducing and outputting systems 1 and 2. Thus, a still picture reproducing and transmission request is issued from two terminals 1 and 2, and the time delay for switching is short even if their requests overlap, and further, still pictures are reproduced and transmitted with a high picture quality finally. |
