PURPOSE:To obtain L-1,4-cyclohexadiene-1-alanine in high yield,by cultivating a specific bacterium belonging to the genus Pseudomonas, collecting accumulated L-1,4-cyclohexadiene-1-alanine. CONSTITUTION:A bacterium belonging to the genus Pseudomonas, capable of producing L-1,4-cyclohexadiene-1-alanine, is cultivated. L-1,4-Cyclohexadiene-1- alanine(CDA) accumulated in the medium is collected. Pseudomonas sp. I-30AJ 11748(FERM-P 6260) may be cited as the bacterium used. A nutritive medium consisting of a carbon source, a nitrogen source, and an inorganic salt may be used as the medium for producing CDA, and desirable results will be obtained by making the culture temperature at 25-40 deg.C and pH during the cultivation in 5.5-9.0. |
