PURPOSE:A feed additive that is composed of granules which is prepared by effecting granulation while the reaction between a specific basis substance and aphosphate or acidic phosphate salt is effected, thus containing P, Ca and Mg in good balance, causing no disintegration and dusting, when handled, and showing good polatability for cattle. CONSTITUTION:At least one of soluble alkaline earth metal selected from soluble Ca and soluble Mg, and a phosphate or acidic phosphate salt in which the molar ratio with soluble silicate, (Cao+MgO/SiO2) is 1/(0.05-2.00) and the content of P is less than 2% calculated as P2O5, such as calcium perphosphate, are combined so that the quation, A/MO (A is the mole number of free phosphoric acid originating from the phosphate calculated as P2O5; MO is the mole number of the soluble alkaline earth metal in the basic substance calculated as metal oxide) becomes 0.05-0.45 and their reaction is effected using water as a binder, while granulation is conducted. Then, the resultant granules are dried. |
