<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture a steel cord by forming a strand by twisting wires at a specified pitch and in a specified twisting direction, drawing out plural strands while untwisting them at the same pitch and in the reverse twisting direction, and then twisting these by a double twisting machine at the same pitch and in the same twisting direction with the strand. CONSTITUTION:A strand 2 is formed by twisting plural wires at a specified pitch and in specified twisting direction. Plural strands 2 are drawn out by plural delivery machines 13 while being untwisted at the same pitch with twisting pitch of the strands 2. Untwisted plural strands 2 are bundled by an assembling poise 19 and introduced into a double twisting machine 22. The twisting machine 22 twists the strands at the same pitch and in the twisting direction of the strands 2, and a steel cord which is an aggregate of wires of the same direction and the same pitch is formed.</p> |
