PURPOSE:To perform the processing smoothly, by foreseeing the overfow of encoded data in the receiving side to report it to the transmitting side whwn an excessive quantity of information is transmitted and inserting fill bits between data in the transmitting side in response to this report and removing fill bits in the receiving side. CONSTITUTION:Data is encoded by an encoder 2 in the transmitting side, and this data is stored in a buffer memory 3 and is transmitted from a hybrid transformer 16. After this data is stored in a buffer memory 6 in the receiving side, it is decoded by a decoder 7 and is supplied to a printer 9. The receiving side is provided with a fill bit removing circuit 10, which removes fill bits from received data, and a memory residual capacity monitoring circuit 11 which detects that the residual capacity of the memory 6 becomes a prescribed value or less. The overflow of data is foreseen in the receiving side and is reported to the transmitting side, and fill bits are inserted between data by a fill bit generating circuit 14 in the transmitting side. These fill bits are removed by the circuit 11, and thus, the processing is performed smoothly. |
