What is described is an operating-error safeguard for the actuating linkage of a turn-and-tilt fitting, in which the blocking member consists of a single element in the form of an angled spring plate with a holding leg and with a locking leg arranged essentially at right angles thereto and pivotable by means of a stop element fixed to the frame. The holding leg is, at the same time, fixed by clamping preferably between the casement wall located on the room side and the actuating-gear housing. The stop fixed to the frame is preferably mounted resiliently and provided with a run-on surface which precedes its actuating region which is assigned, on the wing, a control member for adjusting the distance between the actuating region of the stop element and the fixed framed, the said distance being dependent on the respective chamber dimensions.
