PURPOSE:To make a stabilizing device for engine operation light in weight, by putting a main and an auxiliary flywheel in engagement in low speed range and by disengaging them in high speed range. CONSTITUTION:Main flywheel 4 is mounted on the rotary shaft 1 of an engine so as to form a solid single piece. An auxiliary flywheel 17 in loose fit with the crank case 2 is pressed against the main flywheel 4 by a spring 22 through a clutch facing 18. In the low speed range of the engine, the spring 22 puts the rotating main 4 and auxiliary 17 flywheels into a body like a single piece, but the engine runs at a higher speed, an AC generating clutch coil 10 generates electricity to excite the clutch field coil 13, so that the auxiliary flywheel 17 is separated from the main flywheel 4 by this exciting force. |
