PURPOSE:To prevent molten snow from vaporizing when snowfall is less and to improve snowfall detection sensitivity by supplying electric power to the heater of a detector intermittently. CONSTITUTION:The number of pulses generated by a pulse generator is counted by a counter and a switch 5' connected to a heater 3 or 3' turns on for time T1 and turns off for succeeding time T2. Then, the pulse generator sends out pulses all the time and the switch 5' turns on for the T1 and turns off for the T2 repeatedly. The snow receiving plate of a snowfall detector is heated in the time T1. Then, the T1 and T2 are set properly according to weather conditions to obtain enough snowfall to detect water when the switch 5' is turned on. |
