PURPOSE:To miniaturize superstructure of an interruption gate in such a way as to allow an intake path to be opened or closed without the need to pull up the interruption gate. CONSTITUTION:An intake path 9 is vertically divided into two sections to form two gates 10, a vertical shaft 11 is set at the center of the gates in such a way as to project it from both upper and lower parts, and plural discs 22 with a radius corresponding to the length from the axis to the outside end are vertically provided. When interrupting the intake path 9 of the gates 10 as shown by a solid line, no large water flow occurs due to the presence of a concavity 9c in the side wall 9a. When water pressure is applied to the gates 10 under fully closed condition, the force acting on the gates 10 is supported by a beam 23 in contact with the periphery of the distributed disc 22 in a sliding manner, but not by the gates 10 of a vertically lengthy form, having lesser bending strength, and the contact between the periphery of the discs 22 and the beam 23 is kept even when the gates 10 are angled to any degree because of the circular disc 22. When opening the gates 10, a handle 21 is turned and the gates 10 are turned 90 deg. in such a way as to parallelize the gates 10 with water flow (two-dot chain line). |
