PURPOSE:To execute the automatic focus control quickly as to various lenses and objects, by rationally driving a lens in accordance with exactitude of a focus detecting signal. CONSTITUTION:This system drives a lens by leading an electric signal from a sensor unit placed on the focusing prearranged image-forming surface and in positions before and behind said surface, into a focusing detecting unit, and detecting the defocusing extent and the direction, and to a terminal 102 of a lens driving unit 13, a terminal 103, a terminal 104, a terminal 105 and a terminal 106, an indefinite signal in case when the direction is indefinite, its definite signal, a direction signal, a definite signal and a defocusing extent are applied, respectively, and these data are held by a latch 116. Also, a signal is outputted from a terminal 132 and a terminal 142 so that a lens driving signal is outputted from the terminal 132 in accordance with the corrected extent by a detecting signal in case when exactitude of a focus detecting signal is high, and a lens is driven by a specified extent in case when the exactitude is low. |
