PURPOSE:To make a separate carrying device unnecessary, and to elevate reliability of separation by a simple constitution, by providing a separating belt so that its surface can contact with the surface of a photosensitive body, between 2 rollers for supporting te separating belt. CONSTITUTION:Among 4 rollers for supporting a conductive separating belt 20, a driving roller 21a and a belt tension roller 21b are opposed to a photosensitive drum 1. When the tip of transfer paper reaches a contact part of the belt 20 and the photosensitive body 1, the tip part is attracted by the belt 20 to which bias voltage of opposite polarity to a transfer charger 8 has been applied. The belt 20 is made to press-contact with the photosensitive body 1 by some area between the roller 21a and 21b, therefore, the tip part of the transfer paper is attracted to the belt 20 exactly. According to said constitution , a separate carrying means for carrying the transfer paper to the next process becomes unnecessary, and since the belt 20 contacts softly with the photosensitive body, the surface of the photosensitive body is not damaged, and separation can be executed exactly. |
