PURPOSE:To make a spring for pressing a plug unnecessary, and to easily work the plug, by bending an optical fiber cable itself in a housing, and pressing the plug in front of a conector by its elastic restoring force. CONSTITUTION:An optical connector supports one or two plugs 2 so as to be freely slidable, in a cylindrical housing 1, and an optical fiber cable 3 whose tip has been stuck to the plug 2 is fetched to the outside from the rear end of the housing 1, and is fixed by a caulking ring 10 in a tail part 8 of the housing 1. As for this optical fiber cable 3, in the coupled state, the plug 2 is pushed backward by a photoelectric converting element 18 or a plug in a female type connector 15, therefore, a curved part 21 is formed in the housing 1, and by elastic force generated in that case, the plug 2 is pressed against the photoelectric converting element 18 and is coupled. |
