The tray (1) is for slices of raw meat. The base and inner walls (2) are covered with a thin metal covering (3) integral with the tray. Over the whole surface are small cells (4) regularly spaced to keep small amounts of air between the slice and the base. The metal sheet is applied simultaneously with forming the cells. The metal sheet has an adhesive coating which can also be applied to the body of the tray.
