<p>The housing is divided into two chambers by a membrane, one chamber being in contact with the vacuum and the other maintaining atmospheric pressure. In one or the other of the chambers is a current adjuster having one contact fitted in the housing and the other movable via the membrane. A current circuit is incorporated which includes the current adjuster, with a current source and an indicator for a predetermined vacuum pressure variation. The current adjuster's other contact is fitted on the membrane and connected to an electrically conductive spring unit. This unit opposes the movement of the membrane caused by pressure variations in the vacuum, and forms part of the current circuit. (Provisional Basic advised week 83/32).</p> |
