In a magnetic arrangement for amplifying a magnetic force field, in particular for therapeutic purposes, a plurality of individual permanent magnets are fixed on a flexible or rigid support at a predetermined mutual spacing, their magnet axes extending in parallel and with the same sense. In this way, relatively large areas can be penetrated by the magnetic fields, a direct penetration into the material being ensured even in the case of curved surfaces. There are formed in this way exceptionally effective magnet batteries, the effect of which is superior to individual magnets even if the size of the magnet batteries corresponds only to the areal extent of a single magnet. Tests, investigations and experiments which proceed otherwise than in the terrestrial magnetic field can be conducted in the force field which emanates from one or is present between two magnet batteries, has force lines extending in parallel, and whose intensity can be varied from virtually zero upwards.
