A small electric machine, in particular a small electric motor, is proposed which is used for driving such machines. The drive motor comprises a housing which has an annular, magnetic circuit and at least one bearing carrier arranged on the end face of the magnetic circuit ring. An armature shaft, having a motor armature, is supported on the housing. The armature shaft is supported by at least one bearing element which is seated in a holder of the bearing carrier. The bearing element projects beyond the housing, at least with one section extending in the direction of the armature shaft axis, so that this section can be used as a seating for an assembly to be mounted on the drive motor.
